Dead Space’s aesthetic, in contrast, hinges on the memorable sort of blue-collar futurism. This newest entry feels most in the home amid the cacophony, grime and muscle of industrial machinery. • Learn how to turn a less athletic team into a formidable force on the offensive end of the court
  • Discover how the Argentinian-style of flex offense can enhance your team’s quickness
  • Learn a simple fast break action that leads right into the flex offense and provides a great look at the basket early in the possession

with Daniel Allende, Head Coach of Club Olimpo (Bahia Blanca);
2x National League (DIMAYOR) Championship Coach

If your team is undersized and relies on guard play and quickness to win, then the “Argentina Style of Basketball” DVD is perfect for you. Argentina basketball, famous for running the flex offense and playing with quickness, has produced another great coach, Daniel Allende. In this exciting DVD, Coach Allende breaks down the Argentinian-style of play including the famous flex game that so many teams use.

Coach Allende uses fundamental basketball techniques to teach players how to pass, when to dribble and proper shooting mechanics in the half-court setting. Allende uses 5-on-5 half-court offense to teach spacing, balance and timing, which are the most important aspects of any successful half-court offense.

Coach Allende starts with basic concepts and builds up to complex actions within the flex, ball screen offense, and high-low entries. By teaching basic pass, cut and replace strategies, players will be able to visualize how the offense should move and flow. He uses 3-on-0, 4-on-0, and 5-on-0 in order to ensure players understand their movements.

You will learn various actions that will flow right into the flex offense. Allende uses these actions to break down the offense into segments so players can practice their movements and master the art of the flex play. Allende leaves nothing out as he describes how players should counter an opponent’s every defensive action.

Using 5-on-5 on-court demonstrations, he teaches how to enter the ball into the post, run continuous flex to wear down your opponent, use the UCLA cut to get into the flex offense and how to get scoring opportunities for your best shooter or low post player. He even details how to incorporate a simple fast break action that leads right into the flex offense.

Order now and see how the this flex offense can help your team put points on the board, even if you have a small team

Cards on the table; I’m not sure how this one will go in terms of a winner. Luzern look very confident, and almost good enough to trouble their hosts. However, a defeat against St.Gallen may have affected their confidence enough to see them drop back just a little. If they engage Young Boys Bern from the word “go” in an attacking frenzy, the home side will win; that’s how games at the Wankdorf go, particularly because of the artificial turf. However, if Luzern box a little more cleverly (don’t worry – they can’t defend) then they may score a positive result here, particularly with their hosts likely to be preparing for their UEFA Europa League outing next week.

Unlike their main title rivals Basel, Young Boys Bern don’t have the depth in their squad to cope with a European campaign. They can cope in midfield, but they can’t cope in defence, or in attack; they don’t have enough bodies. Unfortunately for the capital club, their style requires certain types of players, and if they fit into the system, they look good. If they don’t, however, it goes horribly wrong, and Young Boys Bern will get turned over. The home team do not have a “Plan B”; they only know how to attack. A team like Luzern does suit Young Boys Bern, though, because it gives them the scope to attack free space, and score goals as a result. They’re good at that. Defensively speaking, though, Young Boys Bern are usually all over the plate, especially because of their high defensive line. That’s why it’s hard to trust Young Boys Bern to win games; they’re never able to keep a team out. Take their 7-2 win against Lausanne Sport the other week, for example. On paper, it looks like a massacre, but that isn’t really what happened. Young Boys Bern were more clinical than Lausanne Sport, and their superior individuals made sure that the victory was theirs. Make no mistake, though – Lausanne Sport created bundles of chances; they just didn’t take enough of them.

Now, Luzern play the same way as Lausanne Sport, but they’re a lot more effective than newly-promoted Lausanne Sport. Schneuwly and Juric are not great, but they’re both solid and reasonably mobile forwards with bags of strength and aerial ability, so a playmaker like Hyka (who is in terrific form!) can wreak havoc, and should be able to do so here. I don’t think that Juric and Schneuwly have an ounce of class between them; they’re very orthodox strikers. However, they’re both good at playing that way, so with the right service, Luzern won’t find it hard to score goals. They’ve had a great campaign thus far – at least until their bizarre defeat at St.Gallen – and they should enter this game with confidence. If they do, they’ll trouble Young Boys Bern because they only know how to attack, and that’s how to irk Young Boys Bern.

On paper, Young Boys Bern should win this game. However, if they rotate their squad, then Luzern are good enough to beat them here. That’s why the 1×2 market is a “no go” for me. I’ll be amazed if there aren’t goals in this game, though – these two sides couldn’t keep a cow out, and their last three head-to-head meetings have all cruised over 3.5 goals.
